Cash Tree - An Amusing And Ingenious Present That Is A Surefire Winner
When I was little, my father always informed me that money does not grow on trees. He must have said this to me at the very least once per week - whenever I attempted to ask for something. As I began to grow up, I realized that he was right. However, for my 30th birthday, I got a touch of a kick out of proving him wrong. My husband believed that I deserved a shopping spree and as opposed to getting me a gift card, he took a much more creative approach. He bought a tiny little tree and planted it in a beautiful pot. He painted dollar bill signs all over the pot and made it look incredibly distinctive. On the branches, he took fishing wire and strung up tiny little letters that were written on small blocks. All the letters spelled out Happy Birthday. The best part was that each of the small blocks had holes in the top that he used to tie the fishing wire for hanging on the branches. He took lots of time to make little scrolls to also place in to the holes. Each scroll had a dollar amount written on it. After I was done opening all the scrolls, in addition to melting from the resourcefulness he had shown, my very own cash tree had given me five hundred dollars for a shopping spree - even though I probably should have applied the money to my credit card debt! That credit card debt, as all credit card debt tends to do, just keeps growing unless you pay it down in chunks.
Everybody at my party thought that it was the most magnificent and unique gift and idea that they'd ever seen. He could've just given me the cash or a gift card, but he spent a good deal of time in making that money tree. If you want to know the truth, that money tree was the very best gift that I've ever been given. I still have it sitting in my house, though it has grown an awful lot over the years. Now and again, when he gets a bonus and thinks that I deserve to purchase something for myself, he will turn it back in to a cash tree and decorate it with some bills.
I have seen a lot of people give a money tree as a gift for different occasions. Most of those individuals spend additional money just to have money decorate a tree. With a bit of time and a small amount of your very own ingenuity, you can create your own money tree. Of course, in today's society, a lot of people just don't have enough time or allow themselves to take the time. So, if you wish to give a cash tree as a gift, you can find some wonderful ones that companies will personalize for you. In fact, if you can think of a unique reason to give one to someone else, they can make it possible.
Sure, some people think that giving money as a present is impersonal. Possibly it is. However, who doesn't appreciate getting money as a gift? You can be boring and place it inside of a card. Or, you can be imaginative and win some points by presenting the recipient with a cash tree. I promise they will smile a lot brighter than if you simply handed them cash. Not to mention the fact that they will probably always remember such a special gift, even years later.
